Doctors
Dan Cederstrom, DVM Dr. Dan Cederstrom

Dr. Cederstrom graduated from the Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1989, after which he served an internship in Medicine and Surgery at the University of Oklahoma.  He joined Park Grove Pet Hospital  in 1992, and became the owner in 2001.

Dr. Cederstrom enjoys all aspects of veterinary medicine, with special interests in surgery and senior pet care.

Outside the clinic, he enjoys any outdoor activity.  He lives in Woodbury with his wife Sue, four children (Kendall, Taryn, Hannah and Ben), black labrador Elsie, and cats OB and Holly.
Dr. Julie Hansen

Dr. Hansen graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2001, followed by an internship in Medicine and Surgery at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in 2002.  She joined Park Grove Pet Hospital in February, 2005.


Dr. Hansen's areas of special interest include oncology, dermatology, exotic animal medicine, surgery and endocrinology.

Dr. Hansen lives in Rosemount with her husband Jamey, daughter Ella son Benjamin, golden retrievers Farley and Milo, and three cats named Grace, Binkley and Fuzzy Cat.

John Sturtz, DVM Dr. John Sturtz

Dr. Sturtz graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 2006, and joined Park Grove Pet Hospital later that year.


Dr. Sturtz's areas of interest include behavior and obedience training, geriatric medicine, nutrition and internal medicine.

Dr. Sturtz lives in Stillwater with his wife Cyndi, a golden retriever named Annie, and two kittens (adopted from PGPH) named Orrefors and Baccarat.  When not in the clinic, he enjoys golf, singing, community theatre, and long walks with Annie.
Dr. Robyn Corcoran

Dr. Corcoran graduated from the University of Minnesota College of Veterinary Medicine in 1996.  After a couple of years as an equine vet, she switched her focus to small animals and has been working with them ever since.  She joined PGPH in November of 2006.  

Dr. Corcoran’s areas of special interest are endocrinology, renal disease and puppy training.

When not at PGPH, she enjoys spending her spare time training and competing in dog agility and obedience.  She lives in Cottage Grove with her husband Tim, son Jacob, Border Collie Risk, and Keeshond Bailey.

Chrissy Marson, CVT

Chrissy graduated from the Argosy University Veterinary Technician program in 2003, served a three-month internship at Park Grove Pet Hospital, and then joined the clinic in April, 2003.

Chrissy's areas of interest in the clinic include client education, puppy and kitten information, and emergency medicine.

Outside the clinic, Chrissy enjoys spending time with family and friends, scrapbooking, reading, and working with the Women's Auxiliary for the Newport Fire Department.  She lives in Newport with Husband Derek, daughters Allyson and Maddy, a boxer named Gunner and Tango the cat.
Jess Klein, CVT

Jess graduated from Argosy University in 2004, interned at Park Grove Pet Hospital from July to September of 2004, and then joined the clinic directly afterward.

In the clinic, Jess enjoys anything math-related (e.g., calculating dosages) and ear swab cytology.

When she's not busy at PGPH, Jess enjoys playing softball, camping, and spending time outside with her dog Rex.  She lives in Prescott, Wisconsin with Rex and a cat named Pumba (no relation to the PGPH clinic cat of the same name ...)

Jenny Woodley, CVT

Jenny graduated from Globe Univesity in 2007 and joined Park Grove Pet Hospital later that year, in October.

Jenny's special interests at work include geriatric health care and physical therapy.

When not in the clinic, Jenny enjoys soccer and hiking.  She lives in Cottage Grove with her fiance Eric, daughter Alaina, chocolate lab Bo, and Jack Russell terrier Lady.
Sarah Towner, CVT

Sarah joined Park Grove Pet Hospital in 2007, after graduating from the Argosy University Veterinary Technician program.

Sarah owns a wide range of exotic pets, and exotic animal medicine is a special interest of hers.

In her free time, Sarah enjoys horseback riding.  She lives in Cottage Grove with her boyfriend Kyle, a ferret named Panda, and a mixed-breed dog named Sydney.

Becky joined Park Grove Pet Hospital in March of 2008, after completing her internship here.  Her areas of interest in the clinic include anesthesiology, dentistry, pocket pets, and "anything gross" (she loves treating abscesses!)

She lives in Ellsworth, Wisconsin with husband Joey, daughter Brylee, dogs Boo Boo and Betty, and kitty Theo (or Gus Gus -- he has two names because Brylee can't make up her mind).

When not in the clinic, she loves spending time with family, playing with and teaching Brylee, and reading.  She loves outdoor activities whatever the season.

Melanie Knipe
Melanie Knipe

Melanie joined Park Grove Pet Hospital in November, 1998.  She is a 1998 graduate of Park High School in Cottage Grove, and has also undergone extensive Management and Leadership training.

Melanie has a big heart, and has always empathized with sick and unwanted animals.  At work, she also enjoys designing graphics on the computer.

She lives in Cottage Grove with husband Doug, 3 dogs (Lily, Toby and Dutch) and 3 cats (Windsor, Liberty and Lexie).  Outside the clinic, she enjoys collecting movies, car shows, barbecues and drawing.
Joanne Van Horn

Joanne graduated from SUNY, Farmingdale in 1981, and joined Park Grove Pet Hospital in October, 2007.

She has always loved animals and found ways to be involved with them.  Outside work, she is President of the local Jack Russell Terrier Club and administrator of local JRT trials.  She also rides horses, teaches Hunt Seat equitation and plays volleyball.

Joanne lives in Woodbury with her husband Shocky, children Keith and Kimberly, and Jack Russell Terriers Zoie and Bandit.

Jen Nichols

Jen joined the Park Grove Pet Hospital staff in July, 2008.  She has extensive customer service experience, and has always enjoyed working with animals.

Jen lives in Woodbury with her husband Ben, son Ashton and daughter Jewell.  Non-human family consists of Shih Tzu Baron Von Snuggles, The Guinea Pig (his actual name, as her kids can't agree on one), and Belvedere the albino frog.

In her spare time, she enjoys reading, volunteering for her children's school and the National Kidney Foundation, and going to the cabin.
