Our Mission

At Park Grove Pet Hospital, our mission is to fulfill the needs of our patients by providing quality health services.

We will meet these needs by providing compassionate care through teamwork, caring staff members, and continuing education. Our emphasis will remain on individual attention and a commitment to community service.

Our Team

Our veterinarians are committed to excellence, demonstrated by their enthusiasm for education and training, their diversity, and their efforts at creating a hospital that meets the needs of the pets and owners. Each is a pet owner, too, bringing an understanding of pet care only available through the experience.

Our technicians are board certified and highly trained, each with a positive approach toward cementing the human-animal bond. Only the most caring professionals are invited to join the Park Grove team—caring, with a sense that medicine alone is never enough.

Meet our Veterinarians and Staff.

Our History

Park Grove Pet Hospital has been serving Cottage Grove and the surrounding communities since 1972, when it was established by Dr. Richard McConnell.

Dr. Dan Cederstrom joined the one-doctor practice in 1992 as an associate veterinarian. Over time, he developed a strong bond with the practice and its clients and eventually took ownership of the practice from Dr. McConnell in 2001.

Park Grove Pet Hospital has been through many changes since 1972. A new facility was built in 2003 in response to Cottage Grove’s economic redevelopment plan and Dr. Cederstrom’s goal of housing the practice in a larger, more modern facility. The current hospital is a 4,500-square-foot space with numerous windows to let in natural light, a warm and welcoming lobby, a large surgical suite, four exam rooms, and a consultation room.

The goal of Park Grove Pet Hospital is to provide high quality medicine delivered with compassionate care. Our four veterinarians and fourteen support staff members look forward to serving you and your family for many years to come.
